SageWalk operates on a 24-hours-a-day basis, seven days a week. The students participate in structured daily activities, as part of a group that includes a minimum of two trained Instructors at all times.
SageWalk's therapeutic program consists of a core team of licensed professional clinicians who are trained and experienced in the application of both conventional and experiential methods. All students participate in daily group counseling and goal-setting activities. Each student is assigned an individual therapist and will receive weekly individual therapy.
An Individual Achievement Plan is developed for students during the first week of their enrollment. Weekly contact is made with the family, educational consultant, or referral source, as requested. Each student and family is assigned a family therapist within the first two days of the student's program. The roles of the family therapist are to help the troubled teen and family work on issues and help facilitate the growth and success of the family, as a whole.
